From an early life on we learn that in order to be happy, we need to be successful, we need to work until we are exhausted, if we want to have everything we want at the age of 30, where we then can start focusing on having a family and building something up. Where then slowly we can start a career and find our happiness within it... But what if that is not true? Not everyone wants the same thing. Not everyone finds happiness in a 9-5 job, working for other people's dreams. I see it every day. Most of the people I meet on the road have an unusual life. I see people at the age of 70 with huge trailers, having difficulties to park into their RV spot or set their trailer up afterwards. When I talk to them I hear them say: "I wish I would have done what you do much earlier. I am getting too old for this." Most people can only afford to be happy when they have reached their goals. But then they have other goals and they don´t even get to celebrate their achievements. Happiness should be a class in school. To learn how to be happy should take priority. But they don't want you to know that: Happiness starts with your own thoughts. Standing in front of the mirror and being proud of who you are. Encouraging yourself, loving your reflection, feeling gratitude. Happiness isn't something everyone experiences the same way either. Some people are happy if they just have a roof above their heads, others strive for more. Society wants to tell us that being happy is to have everything - yet, when we have "everything" we are still not happy and will have new dreams to run after. RUN AFTER WHAT?!? What about standing still and enjoying what you already have? What about stopping and realizing how beautiful this world is? How about spending a morning in bed in your lover´s arms? How about cuddling up in front of a fire, with a warm blanket and reading a book? What about spending quality time with a loved one? Will that make you happy? What is happiness for you? Look into your mirror and ask yourself, what would make you happy? (and Let me know in the comments below) Maybe you just made a first step towards your own happiness just by reading this post ... if so, that would make ME very happy. Thank you for finding my blog!
