It embraces you like mist – like an invisible coat that is around you and you don’t even feel it’s there.
When you do realize you feel something there, it’s too late.
Emptiness surrounds you.
𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿
(your immune system goes down),
𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿
(you turn away from friends, don’t take their calls)
𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿
(you build up a wall).
You don’t realize what happens until it’s too late.
Once the depression has reached your being –
it’s hard to get out of it.
It becomes a part of you, unless… you wake up to that.
Depressions are real and need to be faced –
they’re not just a mood or a state you’re in.
They’re not something you can heal with medication, because the source of the depression goes much deeper than just the surface.
You have a wall around you.
You don’t feel, you don’t hear the people who want to help you.
You close up to the world around you –
and all you hear are your inner voices:
You are bad.
You don’t deserve to be loved.
You are worthless.

Little inner demons whispering and screaming at you, while you can’t shut them out or silence them.
You no longer have access to the one true inner voice, your voice that loves you and the world you created…

Only you are able to get through the depression by recognizing you inner worth, your inner beauty… but surrounded by all the negative inner voices, what are you to do?
WAKE UP! IT’S NOT TOO LATE!
If you resonate with this, remember:
You are not alone!
You don’t have to go through this alone!
But you have to be the one asking for help…
I wrote these words years ago, because I was there, too.
I’ve been through a depression and instead of numbing myself down with medication, I found someone to talk to.
I remember how lonely I felt at the age of 25.
Everything inside of me felt numb, I felt lost, had no plans of what I wanted to do in my life… I gave up on my dreams, feeling I would never be able to get out of the place I was in.
But that was not true…
I got helped.
I found someone who listened to me – and with her help I was able to get out of this hole I dug myself into.
I was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
By speaking with a therapist who sat down with me twice a week to listen and ask me questions, I was able to HELP MYSELF!
This is why I became a coach in the first place –
to give back. To be there for other people like my therapist was there for me.
Reach out to me if you need someone to talk to.
I will gladly help you.
I am not a psychotherapist, but I am a good listener and I LOVE to support others.
Remember!
You are not alone.
There are many out there who feel unheard as well.
There is no shame in asking for help.
